Mystic White from the ‘The Color of K-Pop‘ project has released a new track for ‘SBS Gayo Daejun‘.

Mystic White is comprised of KARA’s Jiyoung, SISTAR’s Bora, SECRET’s Sunhwa, 4minute’s Gayoon, and After School’s Lizzy. They got together to release the track “Mermaid Princess” which was produced by Kim Do Hoon.

Dazzling Red from the ‘The Color of K-Pop‘ project has released a new track for ‘SBS Gayo Daejun‘.

Dynamic Black is comprised of 4minute’s HyunA, After School’s Nana, SISTAR’s Hyorin, SECRET’s Hyosung, and KARA’s Nicole. They got together to release the track “This Person” which was produced by Brave Brothers.

All the profits from the songs will be donated to children who live in low-income families through ‘Dream Orchestra‘.

121228 4minute’s Gayoon and Jiyoon’s project group ‘Double Yoon’ releases album tracklist

Following news of the upcoming debut of 4minute‘s Gayoon and Jiyoon‘s project group ‘Double Yoon‘, the highly anticipated duo released the track list for their debut mini album, ‘Y2N‘.

CUBE Entertainment CEO Hong Seong Sung tweeted on the 23rd, “I am monitoring Double Yoon’s music video. Please give your love and support for Double Yoon”, confirming Double Yoon’s debut. The album tracklist and promotional photos recently surfaced on Naver as well, further increasing fans’ anticipation for what this project group has in store.

121226 4Minute, Infinite Unit Groups to Compete With SISTAR19 in January

January is shaping up to be a battle of the unit groups.

Following in the news of the return of SISTAR’s unit group, SISTAR19 in January, idol groups 4minute and Infinite have also announced spin-off groups that will hit the stage next month.

4minute will see the debut of its first unit group in January comprised of members Heo Ga Yoon and Jeon Ji Yoon. Nicknamed, ‘Double Yoon’, the new unit group will look to differentiate itself from 4minute with the synergy of Heo Ga Yoon’s rap and Jeon Ji Yoon’s husky voice.

The group’s agency already achieved mega success with its 4minute Hyuna and B2ST Jang Hyun Seung unit, ‘Troublemaker’ in the past, and the agency is looking to continue its streak with the new 4minute unit.

Infinite’s hip hop unit group, Infinite H, will also release a single in January.

Comprised of members Dong Woo and Hoya, the unit will aim to shed Infinite’s idol feel and sound to become a true hip hop unit.

Aided by skilled producer, Primary, Dong Woo and Hoya will aspire to establish themselves as true hip hop musicians.

For Double Yoon, Infinite H and SISTAR19, the cutthroat competition won’t only come from each other but a slew of other top acts who are also making their return in January including SNSD, Baek Ji Young, CN Blue and more.

121226 4minute’s Gayoon and Jiyoon to form project group ‘Double Yoon’

4minute members Heo Gayoon and Jeon Jiyoon will form project group ‘Double Yoon’ and are planning to make their new debut this January.

On December 26, Cube Entertainment’s CEO Hong Seung Sung revealed, “Double Yoon will conduct official promotional activities starting next month. We wrapped up the music video filming, but we’re still adding the final touches to the album.”

The duet album will contain songs that will highlight their singing and rapping talents. It will include dance and ballad songs different from their 4minute’s flavor.

The lovely ladies of SISTAR and HyunA captivated the hearts of soldiers with their special sexy performances.

On December 17th, SBS ‘Good Morning’ showed 4Minute’s HyunA and SISTAR visiting a navy for a special performance. With their sexy costumes, the ladies drove audiences wild as they performed their respective popular tracks.

Especially, HyunA heated up the stage with her lovely and sexy charms. She also made a lovely heart shape with her hands for the soldiers and said, “Good luck and take care, everyone”, to the delight of every soldiers at the audience.

In related news, HyunA and SISTAR’s Hyorin recently became alcoholic drink advertisement models along with KARA’s Goo Hara.

121218 4Minute's Jihyun accepts ZE:A's Hyungsik proposal?

Nam JiHyun has accepted Hyungsik’s proposal.

On the 16th December broadcast of ‘The Romantic’, Nam JiHyun has prepared a song for a preference shuffle date, and she had chosen ZE:A’S ‘Aftermath’.

She revealed the reason to this song choice, “I chose this song so that we could become from a half-official couple to a full-official couple”.

However, as Hyungsik listens to ‘Aftermath’, he went into a panic mode. Hyungsik was seen frustrating, “What’s this? This is so obvious”, and tried to figure out who’s the one who chose this song.

Followed this, Mir and JB were seen shouting, “Hyungsik-ah, What are you doing still staying in here?” urging Hyungsik to meet his date.

From the beginning till the end, Hyungsik were dancing to ‘Aftermath’s choreography, but couldn’t make up his mind whether to go out or not. At the very end, it was revealed that Hyungsik rose from his seat, and went outside, smiling while looking at Nam JiHyun.

Hyungsik danced under the moonlight. Nam JiHyun asked, “Why did you take this long to come out!”, throwing a feat. Hyungsik looked at her with a loving gaze, “I was thinking who was this obvious, so it was nuna”.

121215 JiYoon, “4minute members touched and cried by my acting”

 
Jeon JiYoon who had her first musical challenge has expressed her affection towards 4minute members.

During a press call on the 13th, Jeon JiYoon revealed, “4minute members came to watch my performance”.

On this day, with her rich singing skills and dazzling performance, she has transformed naturally into BokHee. Jeon JiYoon said, “4minute members came for my afternoon performance. Since it was my first stage, it seems like there were lots that I couldn’t do, so I’m regretful. The evening session seems better…” while laughing.

She followed, “During the day, I was really nervous, so I regretted. I heard that the members cried as they were moved by the performance. They said they liked it overall. In particular, during my angry acting scene, they were flaring up as well,” expressing thanks to her members.

Towards her character in the musical, “I performed a JiYoonie-like BokHee. Actually, I had to act it femininely but it wasn’t. Since it was a double casting, I wanted to show my style of BokHee.”

Jeon JiYoon has also expressed her thoughts after her musical stage. She smiled while revealed, “It’s my first time standing on a musical stage. I don’t even remember how I did it”.


She said confidently, “Musical singing skills and entertainment singing skills are totally different. I tried to show my colors in this musical although it was hard.”

4minute girls were seen giving support to Jeon JiYoon’s musical debut.

4minute members became audiences to ’My Love by My Side’ performance on December 12th, where member Jeon JiYoon is part of the cast. Kwon SoHyun then tweeted on her own twitter account, “At ‘My Love by My Side’ (scene). It’s a really warm musical. A musical that (makes people) laugh, cry and suits the cold winter well,” she introduced.

Kwon SoHyun then continued, “Jiyoon unnie who takes the role of BokHee. The concept is about BokHee. Please give support to JiYoon unnie. BokHee Hwaiting”, while attaching along a picture with it.

In the picture, the 4minute members were seen thumbing-up for Jeon JiYoon.

Nam JiHyun then followed, ” ‘My Love by My Side’ is like a musical just right for the winter. Fans from overseas came too, and so I’m even more touched. 4nias are indeed one. Those who wants to warm their heart, do watch ‘My Love by My Side’ “.

4minute Nam JiHyun and ZE:A’s Hyungsik has once again paired up in a preference shuffle.

Nam JiHyun and Park Hyungsik were seen pairing up for the third time on tvN’s ‘The Romantic and Idol’ (December 9th broadcast) and are once again closer to fate.

In a mission where male idols choose clothes that were brought by female idols, Hyungsik chose a stripped T-shirt without hesitation. As he wore it and walked outdoors, female idols were unable to cover their amazement.

Seeing Hyungsik’s and Nam JiHyun’s fate, the other female idols encouraged both of them by saying, “Just get married already. It’s fate.” Left embarrassed, Nam JiHyun and Hyungsik went out on a date, hands linking the other.

Hyungsik confessed his mixed feelings, “It’s really something unbelievable. Now I should accept it, I guess.. I didn’t know we would pair up for the 3rd time.”

This was followed by Nam JiHyun, “But this.. really..” and “As we meet more frequently, it didn’t felt unsuited, that’s the problem”, who is already confessing her heart to Park Hyungsik.

The December 6th airing of Mnet‘s ‘Wide Entertainment News‘ went behind the scenes at the ‘2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards‘. One segment of the behind the scenes footage focused in on HyunA andHyunseung backstage.

The Troublemaker pair was awarded with the ‘Best Collaboration Award‘. While backstage, they shared a water bottle and even held their hands tightly together, sticking close to each other the entire time. The segment showed their strong teamwork and close friendship while a few viewers wondered if they were actually more than just friends.

121206 Kim JeongMin, “Carries an uncle-fan heart to meet 4minute's JiYoon, But was surprised”

Kim JeongMin was rather surprised when he first meet Jeon JiYoon.

Singer Kim JeongMin has explained his first impression of 4minute’s Jeon JiYoon on YTN ‘News 12 – Issue and People’ (aired on the 3rd). Kim JeongMin revealed, “I’ve met her in a radio show before. To me, it’s something to be appreciated. I’m happy to know idol girl groups”.

Followed by this, JiYoon said, “You’re really an experienced senior, so, I wonder if you’ll be scary. But you were unexpectedly caring to me, and so we’ve grown closer.”

Kim JeongMin explained, “Isn’t (meeting you) a fantasy of uncle fans? I was surprised by (this) girl group. More than being girlish, you’re comfortable and go along well with other colleagues. I was surprised by your personality.”

Meanwhile, Kim JeongMin and Jeon JiYoon will be appearing on musical ‘Your Love by Your Side’. The show will start from December 11th till next year’s January 20th.

121205 4minute-BEAST United Cube Concert, To Be Held Next Year

 
4minute, BEAST and many more singers signed under Cube Entertainment will be organizing their 2nd ’United Cube Concert’ in Korea, China and Japan next year.

On the 3rd, according to Cube Entertainment, ‘United Cube Concert’ will be putting on an even more glamorous stage which includes 4minute, BEAST, G.NA, as well as BTOB and Roh JiHoon who debuted this year. Following requests from different countries, Cube Entertainment will be pushing forward the expected plan for the concert.

United Cube Concert will be held firstly in China on the 26th January 2013, followed by Seoul on February 2nd, and in Japan on the 21st February.

Previously, ‘United Cube Concert’ was kicked start in August last year in Seoul, and had even attracted 10,000 fans in Japan concert. Cube Entertainment artists then invaded England and Brazil, becoming a leader in spreading the K-POP wave.

4minute Jeon JiYoon was asked on YTN ‘News12-Issue and People’ (aired on the 3rd), “There are quite a lot of idols who tried their hands on musical lately. Compared to them, what is your strong point?”.

Jeon JiYoon expressed, “I’ve received such question previously. And I replied that it’s my powerful vocals then. But, that’s just one of them. Words wouldn’t come out then. Now, I can say that I’m more committed than others”, she answered.

Kim JeongMin further praised her, “Her fast concentration is really good. I’ve met many idols, and although there are some with lots of passion, (JiYoon) is more diligent than the others”.

121201 Hyuna Says Her Prospects of an American Debut Look Positive @ Mnet Asian Music Award

4minute′s Hyuna said she′s thinking of venturing out to America.

Hyuna talked with press after performing as Trouble Maker with B2ST′s Jang Hyun Seung and receiving the award for Best Collaboration at the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

She said, "I′m so honored I was able to perform at MAMA again following last year′s performance. It was fun trying to think up new ways to perform. If more people expect more from us, I believe we′ll be able to perform as Trouble Maker again."

When asked about the reports that she was thinking of venturing to America, she said, "Great news is being exchanged in America regarding my debut in the country. There are no specific plans yet, but the discussions are all positive."

Hyuna recently made issues when it became known that she met with Scooter Braun, the man in charge of Psy′s management in America.

2012 MAMA was held in Hong Kong on November 30.

4minute has participated in the soundtrack for the new KBS drama series ‘School 2013’.

On December 4th, 4minute released its latest single “Welcome to The School” for the school-themed drama′s soundtrack. The pop dance track delivers the same message as the TV series, reflecting the negative sides of the current Korean school culture, urging listeners to act for change.

The song was produced by Lee Sang Yeol and Park Geun Chul, as part of their producing team Night & Day, and features a powerful drum sound and a heavy guitar rift, completed by 4minute members’ distinctive vocals.

4minute will be releasing the first OST for ‘School 2013′.

4minute will be participating in the OST of an upcoming KBS 2TV Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘School 2013′, with the song titled ‘Welcome to The School’. 4minute’s ‘Welcome to The School’ will be released on various music sites at 12pm of December 4th.

‘Welcome to The School’ is a song that talks about the condition of a monstrous-like school where outcasts, suicides and violent cases are imminent.

‘School 2013′ aired its first episode on the 3rd at 10PM.
