121113 Kara’s Goo Hara, SISTAR’s Hyolyn and 4Minute’s Hyuna Named as Lee Hyori′s Successors

After causing a ripple in the advertisement industry with news of Lee Hyori’s 5-year stint as Lotte’s Cheoeum Cheorum soju model coming to a close, news of her successors have begun emerging.

After both mutually agreeing a new image was needed for the brand, Lee Hyori and Cheoeum Cheorum soju agreed to part ways after five years of doing business together


After careful deliberation, Lotte Chilsung Beverage revealed on November 13 it had chosen a trio of girl group members comprised of Kara’s Goo Hara, 4Minute’s Hyuna and SISTAR’s Hyolyn to serve as models.

The three were selected not only for their appeal but their lively and outgoing personalities which were deemed a good fit with the brand. The first commercial featuring the three girl group members has already been filmed.

Lotte Chilsung Beverage stressed however that its parting with Lee Hyori was done amicably and added Cheoeum Cheorum’s initial brand recognition and popularity was greatly attributed to Lee Hyori and her representation and would continue to give all respect to Lee Hyori before her contract expires.

121113 Billboard asks if 4minute’s HyunA should be Justin Bieber’s next girlfriend

Following Justin Bieber‘s breakup with Selena Gomez, many fans have been wondering who he’ll be dating next.

Billboard has come up with a poll asking who should be the Canadian-born singer’s next girlfriend, and4minute‘s HyunA made the list.

According to Billboard:

“Although they may not speak the same language, Biebs and 20-year-old South Korea native HyunA both speak the language of love in their effortlessly catchy musical stylings. With K-pop on the rise in the U.S., perhaps an intercontinental celebrity couple is just what the genre needs to declare its stateside power. Looking for a tangible connection between the two? HyunA has collaborated with ‘Gangnam Style‘ star Psy, who just happens to share his manager with Bieber. Hmmm…”

HyunA showed up on the list of potential ‘girlfriend’ candidates alongside stars such as, Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, and Rihanna. She’s currently received over 1,700 votes and leads the poll with 43%.

Hyuna has confessed to her hardship due to her sexy image.

On November 11th of MBC ‘Section TV Celebrity Entertainment’, Hyuna expressed her thanks to PSY, ” As I appeared on PSY’s Gangnam Style, foreigners really get to know a lot about me. Even my comeback song, ‘Ice Cream’ MV has reached 20 million views on a famous video site.”

Towards a question regarding her trademark pelvic dance, Hyuna revealed, “Regarding the so-called pelvic dance, it’s not that you need a strong pelvic. You should do more thigh exercises”, expressing her know-how to pelvic dance.

Regarding her sexy image which differs from her age, Hyuna expressed, “When I hear things about that, I just feel that it’s funny” and, “That’s because my real personality isn’t like that at all”.

Hyuna explained, “It was a little hard during my high school times (regarding the sexual controversies), that’s the truth. I’ve thought of how I wanted to bear this” and, “Now, I think it simply as a talent of my own.”

“My parents, originally, don’t really talk about me to those around.” and, “They said to me, ‘You wanted to be a singer that is recognized by all’ “

Hyuna explained, “But, recently, after I finished my schedule and went back home, there was a letter from my dad left on the table” and, “It wrote there ‘My daughter rides on the popular wave, how many people are there looking for your autograph. I love you’ “

Followed with, “As I read that, I cried, but I felt happy”. Together with this, “Lately I heard that my parents boasted about their daughter to their friends for the first time. Their looks really made me teared up”.
